Rajasthan LDC 2026: Shortlisting Process (CET 2024 Marks)
The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) utilizes the Common Eligibility Test (CET) as a primary screening mechanism to manage the high volume of applicants.
1. Mandatory CET ScorecardTo apply for the 10,644 vacancies of Junior Assistant and Clerk Grade-II, a candidate must have appeared in the CET Senior Secondary Level 2024 and possess a valid scorecard. Only those with the minimum required qualifying marks (typically 40%, with 5% relaxation for SC/ST) are eligible to fill out the online application.
2. The "15 Times" Selection RuleThe most critical step in shortlisting is the 15 Times Rule. After the application window closes on February 13, 2026, the board will perform the following:
| Step | Process Description |
|---|---|
| Category-wise Ranking | Applicants are ranked based on their CET 2024 normalized scores within their respective categories (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, etc.). |
| Shortlisting Threshold | The board identifies the top candidates equal to 15 times the number of vacancies available in each category. |
| Cut-off Release | A specific CET cut-off score is released for each category. Only candidates above this cut-off are allowed to appear for the Phase I Written Exam. |
The CET score obtained by a candidate is valid for one year from the date of result declaration. This means the 2024 CET marks will remain the sole eligibility criteria for all LDC-level recruitment cycles initiated in 2026.
4. Final Merit vs. ShortlistingIt is important to note that CET marks are only for shortlisting. The final merit list for the 10,644 posts will be prepared solely based on the marks obtained in the:
- Phase I: Written Main Examination (200 Marks)
- Phase II: Typing and Efficiency Test (100 Marks)
Note: Merely reaching the CET 15-times list does not guarantee a job; it only qualifies the candidate to take the actual competitive exam.
